Brown backing Cod Army revival

Fleetwood's top scorer Junior Brown believes they can put a poor month behind them and get their promotion push back on track.

Town are without a win in their last five in all competitions but have secured back-to-back draws under new boss Graham Alexander. Brown netted his eighth goal of the season in last weekend's stalemate with league leaders Gillingham to move within a point of the play-off places. "It's been a difficult period, with everything that has gone on behind the scenes and the little dip in form we have had," Brown told the Blackpool Gazette. "But the lads were always going to stick together, no matter who came in, what their philosophy was or what they had in mind. "We're a close knit group and we were going to work hard for whoever came in. We took that on to the pitch at Gillingham. "Against the better sides we seem to put in good performances. So hopefully, with the right attitude and determination, we can keep it going over the festive period and pick up more points."
