Warrington: Home form is key

Andy Warrington knows Rotherham have to improve their home form if they are going to win automatic promotion.

The 36-year-old goalkeeper has been part of a Millers side that have gone down to eight defeats in their inaugural season at the New York Stadium, with only bottom two York and Aldershot suffering more. And Warrington, who has been number one since October, believes other teams are raising their game in the superb surroundings. "We have disappointed at home this season and we need to sort it," he said. "It's a great place to play perhaps people come and raise the game. "Teams definitely rise to it, everyone who comes here says it's fantastic. "We have not quite done it, I think teams have come and sit back and looked to soak up the pressure." The Millers go into Saturday's vital clash with Exeter five points off the automatic places with a game in hand and Warrington expects the promotion shake-up will not be decided until the final day of the season. "It's going down to the wire, there's a lot of teams in and around us," he added. "We have to keep chipping away at the teams above us. "We are just concentrating on the next game, we are not looking to far ahead."
