Ashton takes skipper's armband

Stevenage defender Jon Ashton has been named as the new club captain ahead of the 2013/14 season.
The 30-year-old, who has made over 160 appearances for Boro, takes the captain's armband following the departure of Mark Roberts to Fleetwood. "Ash has a great history at the club, he wins football matches and he leads men," manager Graham Westley told the club's official website.
