Rotherham have confirmed that midfielder David Noble has joined League Two Cheltenham on loan until January.

The 31-year-old has struggled for game time at New York since his 2012 summer move and has only made one appearance from the bench so far this season. He moves to Whaddon Road until the early part of 2014, with a view to extending his stay until the end of the season. "David Noble is a young man I have a long history with and someone I have the highest respect for," boss Steve Evans said. "In recent weeks David has become increasingly frustrated at not being in the starting XI, but this move to a very good Cheltenham Town team, should allow him to do what he loves and get on the pitch and play."
