Rotherham manager Steve Evans will continue to run the rule over trialists Salim Kerkar and Francois Zoko.
Kerkar, 26, has been without a club since his summer release from Charlton and 30-year-old Zoko was let go by Notts County at the end of last season. Both men featured in Tuesday's reserve defeat at Mansfield and Evans is giving them another chance to impress. "We are going to look at them over the weekend and the early part of next week, they will play in a game for us," he said. "Salem is a good player, he had 15 or 16 starts in the Championship for Charlton last season. "He has great ability, match fitness is an issue and the same with Francois. "We will see if we can get him fitter and see how he does. He was the best player on the pitch for 50 minutes on Tuesday before his legs fell off." Meanwhile, Evans has confirmed he has entered discussions with a Championship player over a loan move to New York, but will not conclude a deal before Saturday's visit of Oldham.
