Reid not right for Southend

Southend have terminated the contract of striker Craig Reid by mutual consent having only joined the Shrimpers in the summer.

Reid, 28, joined the League Two club from Aldershot over the summer but has struggled to make an impact. He has made just eight appearances, only two of which were starts in cup competitions, and failed to find the net. Southend's official website read: "Everyone at the club would like to thank Craig for his efforts while with the club and wish him the very best for the future."
