Stevenage announce that defender Sam Wedgbury has left Broadhall Way by mutual consent.
Wedgbury joined Boro from Macclesfield last summer and started the club's first three matches of the season at right-back, but in total made just seven appearances this campaign. The 25-year-old midfielder said on Twitter: "Just want to thank the fans at Stevenage for being very supportive throughout the season, I've left the club by mutual consent. #topfans." Wedgbury becomes the second player to leave Stevenage this summer after Filipe Morais departed last week.
