Plymouth forward Matt Lecointe has been handed a new one-year contract extension by the club.

The 19-year-old has signed on the dotted line at Home Park, despite not featuring at all last season. The youth-team graduate ruptured his cruciate ligament in his knee during a pre-season match against Truro City last July, but should be fit when John Sheridan's squad return for the 2014/15 season. Meanwhile, youngster River Allen has signed a first professional deal.
