Port Vale have confirmed midfielder Ryan Lloyd has signed a new one-year deal with the club.
Lloyd, who came through the Valiants' youth system, was out of contract but was offered a new deal after impressing manager Micky Adams in the reserves and in two first-team starts at the end of last season. The 20-year-old left-sided player told the club's official website: "I want to push on next season and gain a regular starting place in the team." Lloyd becomes the latest Vale player to sign a new contract, joining Carl Dickinson, Chris Birchall, Chris Lines, Chris Neal and Richard Duffy. The Valiants are still waiting on a decision from Joe Davis. The 20-year-old defender has been offered a one-year deal but is understood to have attracted interest from other clubs.
