Bradford have announced that defender James Meredith has signed a new one-year deal with the club.

The 26-year-old Australian's previous contract had expired but he has now committed himself to the Bantams for the 2014/15 season. Meredith, who missed most of the second half of last season after breaking a bone in his foot in January, had reportedly been attracting interest from various other clubs. The left-back returned to Phil Parkinson's side for two of the final three games having been a regular starter. He has made a total of 73 appearances for Bradford, scoring one goal, since arriving on a free transfer from York in June 2012.
