Accrington have completed the signing of Adam Buxton following his release by Wigan.
The full-back, who impressed during a loan spell with Stanley last season, has penned a one-year deal. Buxton, who had featured in Accrington's two pre-season fixtures against New Mills and Nelson, told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to be back. "Obviously I came here for two months last season on loan and enjoyed it massively. When the gaffer spoke to me in the summer about coming back it was a no-brainer really. We've had time off and I've enjoyed that but I'm just raring to get going now." Boss James Beattie added: "There were a lot of other teams looking at him but he liked what he saw here last season. "He knows it is a great club for him to showcase his skills. Adam is a talented young player, he is quiet off the pitch but tough on it. He is a great addition for us."
