Colchester have handed stalwart Magnus Okuonghae the captaincy for the new season, with new signing Sean Clohessy named vice-captain.
Nigerian defender Okuonghae has made over 200 appearances for the U's since joining in 2009 and previously wore the armband under Aidy Boothroyd. "It's a very proud moment for me. The Gaffer asked me and the first thing I said was that I would be honoured to do it," he told the club's official website. "I've been here a long time, my heart is in the club and I want to lead the team to an improved season. I can't wait to get started and it'll be a pleasure to lead the boys."
