Kearns keen to show his worth

Carlisle's fit-again midfielder Danny Kearns has a point to prove after forcing his way back into the starting line-up following injury.

Kearns, who has made only seven appearances for the Cumbrians since arriving on a free transfer from Peterborough in the summer, made his first league start of the season in last weekend's home win against Accrington after a thigh injury. "It's been a frustrating period for me on a personal level because I'd only trained a few days with the new manager when the injury happened," Kearns told the club's official website. "I got a decent reception from the fans when I came off the pitch and that was nice. "They haven't seen too much of me so I still want to show them what I can do. "It could take two or three games before I'm fully up to speed and in a way I feel I have something to prove. "The supporters have every right to ask questions about what I can do because they haven't seen a lot of me at all. "It's up to me to show them by getting into the team and playing well."
