Portsmouth manager Andy Awford has signed striker Matt Tubbs on a free transfer from Championship side Bournemouth.
The 30-year-old, who scored 15 goals while on loan with Pompey's League Two rivals AFC Wimbledon during the first half of the season, has agreed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Fratton Park. Awford told Pompey's website: "We're delighted that Matt chose to come here because he received similar offers from other clubs. "We've signed a top goalscorer and hopefully he'll continue in that vein with us. "I've seen a lot of Matt in action and know exactly what he'll bring to the side, so I'm looking forward to working with him." Tubbs could make his Portsmouth debut at Newport on Saturday.
