Craig Eastmond has left Colchester after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.
The midfielder has made 13 appearances for the U's this season, but has struggled to break into the side on a consistent basis and has opted to move on in the hope of finding a new club. Eastmond, who was a signing from Arsenal in May 2013, made 68 appearances during his time at Colchester, scoring five goals. U's boss Tony Humes told the official club website: "After discussions, it was felt that it would be best for Craig to look elsewhere for first-team football and we wish him all the best for the future."
