Nyron Nosworthy has left Blackpool to join Portsmouth on loan for the rest of the season.

The 34-year-old centre-back has left the Seasiders despite only joining in November, with his most recent appearance for the club coming in the 7-2 mauling by Watford at the end of January. Speaking to Pompey's official website, Nosworthy said: "I spoke to the manager and he made me feel very welcome and confident. "I'm looking forward to finishing the season strongly and playing in front of 15,000 fans every other week." Manager Andy Awford added: "Nyron has a wealth of experience and will give us a presence that we miss with Paul Robinson and Jack Whatmough both out injured." Portsmouth have also added QPR teenager Cole Kpekawa to their squad on a similar deal.
