Routis enjoying new role

Bradford's versatile defender Christopher Routis is relishing his new midfield role after finally realising he has to run more.
Frenchman Routis arrived at Valley Parade as a defender on a free transfer from Swiss side Servette last summer, but has played on the right side of midfield in his last three matches. "This position is very different to centre-back," Routis told the club's official website. "When I play in midfield, I know I have to run more than when I play at centre-back. "I still have to learn in midfield, but I feel better and better in this position. "Fil (Morais) plays in a similar position to me a bit now so I can learn from him. He talks to me a lot. "He helped me a lot when I played in midfield for the first time. "He was injured at the time so he wasn't playing, but he gave me a lot of advice and talked to me a lot. "He told me 'Chris, stay calm, you know you can play this position, but you need to run!' "I listened to him and I know now that you have to run hard!" The 25-year-old, who had initially appeared for the Bantams at centre-half and right-back, struck the equaliser from midfield in the recent home draw against Fleetwood.
