Midfielder Callum Reilly has returned to Birmingham from his loan spell at Burton after suffering a calf injury on his debut.

Reilly was substituted after 14 minutes of his Brewers debut - a 2-1 win at home to Southend - and it was confirmed on Friday that Reilly has returned to his parent club for treatment. Manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink admitted it does not look as though he will be returning and he told the club's website: "He has gone back, unfortunately. He had a grade two tear and unfortunately he is going to be four weeks at least so he has had to go back." Reilly, 21, has played 66 games for Blues since 2012 and has also played eight times for the Republic of Ireland's Under-21 side. He joined Burton on March 11.
