Passley staying at Portsmouth

Josh Passley will not be leaving Portsmouth, despite facing disciplinary action at the weekend.
The on-loan Fulham defender was left out of the squad to face Shrewsbury after turning up late to the game, the latest in a line of offences. However, Pompey manager Andy Awford insists the case has been dealt with and he is keen to keep the player until the end of the season, as was recently agreed. "We have drawn a line under it and moved on," Awford said. "There has been a fine and he has been disciplined internally." He added: "I wasn't very happy on Saturday, so spoke to him on Monday and he is now back in the group and available for selection. "He has apologised but actions speak louder than words for me, so he has got to back that up with actions - and he has trained well all week. "If I hadn't got the right response from him there might have been a different outcome, make no mistake about that. "As it is, it sends a message to everybody. It was a breach of discipline and we can't have that. "You need all your good players and if you look at the record of the team when Josh has been in it, it is has been good."
