League Two side Hereford have swooped to sign 21-year-old left winger Sam Clucas from the Glenn Hoddle Academy.

Clucas was released by Lincoln in 2010, having not played a match for the club, but joined the academy soon after to hone his game. Bulls Director of Football Gary Peters has been keeping track of Clucas' progress and is pleased the youngster has put pen to paper having been training with the Bulls recently. "I saw him two years ago in the Lincoln youth team, he impressed me with his work ethic and his technical ability," Peters told the club website. "He didn't give up, he went to the Glenn Hoddle Academy, worked hard for 18 months and became a stronger and better player." Clucas, who will join up with his team-mates in time for Hereford's FA Cup tie with Yeovil, said: I'm delighted to have signed. I've been training with the lads for a couple of weeks and am really enjoying it here."
