Boothroyd laments Cobblers form

Northampton boss Aidy Boothroyd expects his side to learn from their mistakes following a 3-1 friendly defeat to Tottenham.

The Cobblers were punished for some poor defending as the Barclays Premier League side ran out comfortable winners at Sixfields last weekend. "Spurs were very good, but the goals we conceded were down to three individual errors," Boothroyd told the club's official website. "That's disappointing, but we can either work on ironing out all the little floors that we need to or we can change the personnel. "Every game is a learning experience for us, but at the same time I still want to make sure that we are solid and difficult to beat and we have got some work to do defensively. "Maybe I'm a little bit impatient, but that has always been my biggest strength and probably biggest weakness."
