Rowett: We've set the standard

Burton boss Gary Rowett says the Capital One Cup victory over Sheffield United has set the standard for the season.

Albion recorded their first-ever League Cup win on Saturday with a penalty shoot-out triumph following a 2-2 draw at Bramall Lane. Rowett's side begin their League Two campaign away at pre-season promotion favourites Rotherham at the weekend. Ahead of the trip to south Yorkshire he said: "I'm really proud of the players, that performance set the bar for the season. "The lads put in a performance and did what we asked them to do. I thought we showed a real togetherness. "Whatever happened in the game, we just urged them to react in a positive way and deal with the problems. I thought you saw three or four times when the game turned for different reasons that every single time we stood up to it and dealt with the game."
