Brown signs for Latics stay

Oldham have extended the loan of Manchester United defender Reece Brown until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old joined the Latics in March for an initial one-month loan, but boss Paul Dickov has been impressed enough to extend that deal until the campaign ends. Brown will be looking to continue to build upon the foundations he has laid at centre-back with Jean-Yves M'voto after the duo played three games together in Brown's original loan. All the relevant paperwork was completed in time for him to feature in the game against Brentford on Tuesday evening. Oldham will be hoping that Brown can help shore up a defence that has leaked 56 goals this season.
