Darius Charles celebrates his second half strike

Team news ahead of Saturday's League One clash between Stevenage and Sheffield United at Broadhall Way.

Darius Charles could return to the Stevenage squad. The versatile Charles has missed the last four league matches with a knee injury. Don Cowan was fit enough for a place on the bench against Bury last weekend following knee ligament trouble and the striker will be hoping to be included in the squad once again. Boss Graham Westley made two changes at Gigg Lane. Michael Bostwick went straight back into the starting XI on his return from suspension while Byron Harrison was also recalled as Shane Long and Chris Beardsley dropped out of the team. Long and leading scorer Beardsley will be pushing for recalls this time round along with Lawrie Wilson and Phil Edwards. Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson will select his starting line-up from the same group of players. Wilson has no new injury or suspension worries as his side bid to extend their unbeaten run to six league matches and keep pace with the top two. Midfielder Lee Williamson has returned to full training following a badly gashed knee, but will not be included in Wilson's squad and is aiming to return for the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Bradford instead. Winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, on loan from Wolves, is not yet ready, but also closing in on a return to action for the Blades after missing the last five games due to a hamstring injury. Wilson must decide whether to retain teenage goalkeeper George Long or recall Steve Simonsen, while strikers Chris Porter and Ched Evans and midfielder Michael Doyle are all hoping to play a bigger role after starting last week on the substitutes' bench.
