Nigel Adkins' reign at Sheffield United begins with a lengthy trip to Gillingham on the opening day of the 2015/16 League One season.
His first game at Bramall Lane sees Chesterfield make the short journey along the A61, while December 19 will be an emotional day for Adkins as he takes the Blades to Scunthorpe, the club where he made his managerial name. The South Yorkshire club travel to fellow promotion favourites Wigan on Boxing Day, while their final game on the road is against Coventry. Adkins will be hoping to celebrate promotion against his former club on the final day as the Iron visit Bramall Lane.
