Tractor Boys boss on World Cup look-out

Ipswich manager Roy Keane is following the World Cup to see if he can spot any potential new recruits. The Tractor Boys boss is monitoring events in South Africa closely as he attempts to assemble a squad for promotion push in the Championship next season. The Irishman admits it is pointless to harbour hope of signing a player from one of the tournament favourites but he believes there are gems from the lesser lights which he could bring to Portman Road. "I'll be watching games like everyone else and maybe there are realistic targets out there for us," Keane told the club's official website. "Obviously it would be very hard for us to get one of the top players from the likes of Italy, Spain or Brazil but from the smaller nations, why not?"
