Dunne: We could've scored more

Colchester manager Joe Dunne felt the margin of his side's 2-0 League One home win over Carlisle on Saturday could have been greater.

Two goals in the space of six first-half minutes from loanees Craig Eastmond and Jabo Ibehre helped the U's record back-to-back victories at the Community Stadium. Dunne said: "I'm happy that we've got three points. I thought it was a really good learning game for us, in terms of us having to adapt to what another team has done not only once but maybe twice. "Overall, we scored great goals and we could have scored some more great goals. But there were one or two things that we could have done a bit better. "But I'm not going to complain about winning, that's for sure. We've said to the players that if we want to have a passing game we'll have a passing game and if we want to go toe-to-toe, we have to do that. "Players have to adapt and if it means grinding out results, we'll do that as long as we get positives. But I'm really pleased for everybody and I thought once we got ahead in the game, we could have had more."
