Colchester have signed former Blackpool and QPR defender Kaspars Gorkss. The 33-year-old Latvian penned a short-term deal in time to feature in Sunday's FA Cup tie against Peterborough. Gorkss has played more than 450 games and was twice named Latvian Footballer of the Year. He has agreed an initial deal at the Community Stadium until January.
