Parry relishing Owls test

Les Parry believes Tranmere will face the biggest club in the division when they host Sheffield Wednesday on Boxing Day.

The fallen Yorkshire giants are aiming to make an immediate return to the second tier of English football following their relegation last term. They are riding high in League One and Parry accepts his lowly side face a huge task to overcome Alan Irvine's men. "When the fixtures come out you look at the first game of the season and then the Christmas period," said Parry. "Financially, it's a massive game and from the lads' point of view they're playing probably the biggest side in the division so it's a massive game as well. It couldn't have been any better."
