Gary Megson hopes chairman Milan Mandaric will fund a spending spree at Hillsborough as he has six players on his list.
Megson, installed by Mandaric as Alan Irvine's successor at Sheffield Wednesday in February, has provided the Owls board with a summer wish-list in his bid to lead the club out of the third tier at the second attempt. Megson said: "I have had a meeting with Milan and [vice-chairman] Paul Aldridge and I gave them the list of six players I would like to bring in the summer. "They are all British and have the kind of character to help us get to where we want to be." The Owls take on Exeter at Hillsborough on the final day when they will be chasing a fifth straight home win which could lift them into the top 10.
