Modest leaves Owls' nest

Sheffield Wednesday striker Nathan Modest has left the club by mutual consent.
The 20-year-old has found it difficult to break into Gary Megson's first-team squad this season following the summer arrivals of Chris O'Grady, Ben Marshall and Ryan Lowe, while leading goalscorer Gary Madine joined from Carlisle in January. Sheffield-born Modest, who progressed through the Owls' youth system, made a total of five first-team appearances after making his debut at Cardiff in December 2008. He spent three months on loan at Darlington in the second half of last season, making 13 appearances.
