Cardiff suffer friendly defeat

Goals from Scott Malone and Steve Lovell earned Bournemouth an encouraging 2-1 friendly win over Cardiff at Dean Court on Saturday.
Malone, a loan signing from Wolves, hit an unstoppable shot from 25 yards to open the scoring after eight minutes. Lovell made it two shortly after the break when curled home after good work from Danny Ings as the Cherries dominated. But Cardiff made a game of it five minutes later when Andrew Taylor converted Peter Whittingham's cross.
