Plymouth Argule ended their four-match losing streak with a 2-1 League One home win over struggling Dagenham.

Northern Ireland international Rory Patterson swept home Argyle's 83rd-minute winner after being teed up by fellow substitute Joe Mason. Gavin Tomlin volleyed the Daggers into a ninth-minute lead with a superb finish from Medy Elito's sweeping cross from the right. Tomlin could have doubled his advantage in the second half but for a block by home defender Stephane Zubar, who also made a brilliant block to deny Romain Vincelot as he sped through on goal. But home skipper Craig Noone went solo to restore parity following a mazy 62nd-minute run before Patterson sealed victory seven minutes from time.
