Plymouth takeover talks continue

Image: Risdale: Takeover plans still on

Acting chairman Peter Ridsdale has confirmed that plans for Bishop International to takeover Plymouth have still not been finalised.

The Gibraltar-based firm are reportedly set to complete a takeover but as yet they have not come up with the money to buy the club's Home Park ground and the land surrounding it, which would clear the club's debts and allow Ridsdale to own Argyle. Administrators have given Bishop International until Friday to come up with around £6million for the deal. Ridsdale told BBC Sport that a deal "has to be done this week", adding: "We're working on assumption that it will but I'm not the man with the chequebook."
