Richard un-Shaw about prospects

Richard Shaw refused to be drawn on his chances of becoming Coventry's permanent manager after they lost 2-0 at Tranmere.

Shaw, who along with Lee Carsley has been in temporary charge of the first team since Andy Thorn's sacking in August, has lost his three league games in the job and City now sit in the League One relegation zone. With a decision on Coventry's managerial situation set to be made within the week, Shaw admits he needs to get results. "I am not concerned at all about the job. My only concern is the fact that we got beat by Tranmere after having the better chances," said Shaw. "My focus is on the results and I have not thought about anything else to be perfectly honest. I have no idea what will happen about the job. "I've no idea whether I am on the shortlist for the manager's job. I am just disappointed about the result. We can't keep coming off after every game and saying the same things, but I am so disappointed with the last 10 minutes because we had played very well up to then. We had more chances than Tranmere throughout the game, we just didn't take them. "The players need to be strong for each other and start battling away and getting the results. We have been beaten by a team we more than matched."
