Coventry defender Blair Adams has left the club after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.

The 22-year-old full back joined the club in 2013 and has gone on to make 64 appearances, but manager Steven Pressley feels that he will be better off finding first-team opportunities elsewhere. Pressley told the club's website: "This was a very difficult decision for me to make because Blair is a fantastic kid and his attitude and approach towards the game is first class. "I feel that some tactical adjustments will limit his first-team opportunities and it is only fair that we give him the chance to seek regular football elsewhere. "He has been a pleasure to work with and we wish him the very best of luck for the future." Adams joined the Sky Blues after initially spending a period on-loan from Sunderland, where he came through the youth system.
