King begins reign at Cobblers

Northampton manager Ian Sampson has signed Leicester City striker Craig King on a month-long loan deal.

The 20-year-old forward spent most of last season on loan at Hereford and scored for the Bulls in their 3-1 win at Sixfields last December. Sampson said: "Craig is a hardworking player who I have seen play a number of times. "He is a bit different to what we have and I think he will be a good addition. He is the sort of player the crowd will take to because of his sheer workrate. "He had some decent experience of playing in League Two last season and that will help him. "We still have other targets in mind and are working on adding one more to the squad in the next couple of weeks."
