Departing centre-back Sean St Ledger has lauded Preston's supporters despite his move to Leicester.
The Republic of Ireland international, who was a fans' favourite at Deepdale, sealed a switch to the Foxes on Monday for an undisclosed fee. He told the club's official website: "I have to thank the football club for bringing me here in the first place because it gave me the chance to play in the Championship and at an international level. "I've made a lot of friends in Preston and my family have made a lot of friends here too. Preston is a great club, with great tradition and history, so I'm just glad to have been a part of it. "I've enjoyed my five years living in the area and I hope I had developed a good rapport with the fans. There have been a lot of highs and the fans have been fantastic. "Ever since I arrived in Preston the supporters have been very welcoming. The fans are everything and I'd like to thank them for their time, their money and what they have done for me really."
