No contract deal for Hudson

Kirk Hudson has returned to Brentford after failing to impress Southend manager Paul Sturrock during a trial at Roots Hall.

Hudson spent four days with the Shrimpers in an effort to secure a contract with the League Two outfit, but in the end the winger was sent back to Griffin Park. The 24-year-old has struggled with injuries for much of his career and has not managed to break into the Bees' first team since moving to west London from Aldershot in 2010.
