West Brom striker Lateef Elford-Alliyu has made a loan return to Tranmere after agreeing to a one-month stay on Merseyside.
Elford-Alliyu spent the second half of last season with Rovers, scoring five times in 17 appearances. The 19-year-old provides much-needed attacking reinforcements for Prenton Park boss Les Parry in light of injuries to Enoch Showunmi and Andy Robinson, along with Jose Baxter's recent return to parent club Everton. "I'm really pleased to be able to bring Lateef back to the club," Parry told Tranmere's official website. "He did brilliantly for us last season and hopefully he will have a big impact again." Elford-Alliyu added: "I had a great time when I was here last season and it's good to be back. Hopefully I can help Tranmere get back up the table." Tranmere have completed the signing in time for Elford-Alliyu to be available for Tuesday night's re-arranged League Two clash with Rochdale.
