Skipper set for Rovers exit

Tranmere have been stunned by the news that captain Ian Thomas-Moore has handed in a transfer request.
Thomas-Moore has been linked with a move to join up with his father Ronnie Moore at Rotherham but Rovers boss Les Parry does not want the striker to leave. Parry said: "I can assure everybody that there has been no bid whatsoever from Rotherham. But Ian has handed in a transfer request. "He asked for another year on his contract, we had a discussion and we asked to leave it until Christmas. "He tells us he's been made an offer from another club - I don't know who that club is - of an increase in salary and a two-year contract. Whoever that is has made an illegal approach. "We will dig our heels in because strikers are few and far between. Obviously I won't let him go for nothing and Ian has been told the board will discuss his request on Tuesday."
