Bodin keen on Robins post

Paul Bodin wants the boss' job after giving relegated Swindon something to shout about with a final-day win at Tranmere.

The Robins ended a disappointing season on a bright note with a 2-0 victory at Prenton Park. It was only a third win of the year for the Wiltshire club, who took a 10th-minute lead with their first chance when Jean-Francois Lecsinel netted from close range following a Michael Rose corner. Michael Timlin extended the lead after 38 minutes with a fine 25-yard strike after a long clearance. "It has been tough for everyone but it was nice to finish with a very good team performance," said Bodin, who has been interim boss since Paul Hart left the club. "They worked their socks off. The early goal gave everyone a lift. It re-energised the side. You could see the difference. "I've been in charge for two games and have had a 50% success rate, which isn't bad. I have enjoyed the short tenure but let's see what develops over the next week or so. Given the opportunity to be manager I would love it."
