Craig Mackail-Smith's potential Premier League move will be offset by a record signing, says chair Darragh MacAnthony.
Posh have accepted an offer for the talismanic hitman, but are moving quick in the transfer market with other signings on the horizon. MacAnthony told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "We've made a very substantial offer for a striker we feel will do great things for this club. "That would smash our record by a mile and that's already in place, we're just niggling over the finer points of it. "The players we're bringing in will mostly be for fees. "Some will be frees, a few may be loan players we previously had that we're trying to sign, but more than half of them are going to come with fees and substantial fees."
