Wycombe have signed Aldershot midfielder John Halls on a free transfer to complete their second signing for the day.

Halls, who can also play at centre-back or right-back, has signed a one-year deal at Adams Park, shortly after Wanderers re-signed Swansea midfielder Scott Donnelly on a season-long loan deal. Chairboys manager Gary Waddock, who managed Halls during his time at Shots, told the club's official website: "He's an experienced player who can play in a number of positions. I've signed him again because I know he'll bring quality to the group." The 29-year-old can count Arsenal, Stoke and Reading among his former clubs, while he has also enjoyed loan spells with Preston, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United. Halls said: "It's a good club and I know the manager, who I'm glad to have linked up with again. League One is a strong division so it's a good opportunity for me and I'm pleased to be here."
