Phil Brown believes he has found the right formation to help Preston bounce straight back to the Championship next season.
However, he was disappointed his 4-3-3 style did not produce all three points in a 1-1 draw at Scunthorpe. Skipper Iain Hume fired the visitors in front with a brilliant left-foot effort after 14 minutes, but they were pegged back by an 87th-minute equaliser from Andy Barcham. "It's the first point on the board for us this season so that is a positive and we've got to be pleased," said North End boss Brown. "But to be honest I thought we did well enough to have got all three. I am pleased with the way my team is performing this season and it was another step in the right direction. We have found a formation which suits us and I'm sure we will only get better and better."
