Rochdale boss Steve Eyre was delighted to snatch a 2-2 draw with Huddersfield in their first home League One game of the season.
Town led twice through Lee Novak and Danny Ward but Dale hit back at the end of each half through Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro and a late leveller from Ashley Grimes. "We've got to stop falling behind in games, but overall we're really pleased with the outcome," said Eyre. "We were brave and on the balance of play I thought we deserved our draw. "Huddersfield had the first 30 minutes of the game and we had the last 15 minutes during which we equalised - I'd have been quite happy to play on at that point rather than break for half-time because we were just getting into it. "Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro wasn't in the game during the first half-hour but he stuck at it and was in the right place at the right time after some brave work from Gary Jones. "When you have players with the quality of Ashley Grimes and Jones on the pitch you always have a chance of winning matches or saving a point."
