Mick Wadsworth hailed his Hartlepool side after they gave Huddersfield a run for their money in a draw at Victoria Park.
Pools went into the game hit by injuries but produced a strong performance against a Terriers side who are among the favourites for promotion, despite now having drawn all three of their matches so far. "We deserved the points and the performance outweighed the result," he said. "The display was a benchmark really and if we perform like that, with that intensity, we will do well and I really mean that. "The losses we had in the last week in terms of players, we had to change shape and personnel and a system to get legs in midfield. I was pleased with the players and I told them that. "They changed formation three times to cope with us and we became the best team. It was pleasing for us but they are delighted to have a clean sheet. They were relieved with a 0-0 draw, they had few chances and we created good things."
