Gary Waddock has praised Wycombe, who recorded their first league win of the season with a 3-1 victory at Leyton Orient.
The Chairboys recorded their first league win of the season, following draws in their opening two matches, thanks to goals from Ben Strevens, a Scott Donnelly penalty and Joel Grant. "It was a great result for us," said team manager Waddock. "To get our first three points of the season at a difficult place like Leyton Orient speaks volumes. "We've been pleased with the start we've made to the season. The last time we were in League One it proved to be a very difficult division and, if anything, the standard has improved. Whoever you are playing against always gives you a tough game. "We saw some clinical finishing but what also pleased me was our work-rate, the closing down and pressurising by our players from start to finish was the reason why we were able to go on and get a result. "Orient are a good footballing side but we didn't give them any time or space to play. We went about our business and stopped them playing. We know that it's a long, hard season but we've given ourselves some points on the board and that will give everyone confidence because of that. We've got a fantastic bunch of players and you could see the commitment they have."
