Paul Tisdale is relieved as Exeter progressed in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy after a 3-0 penalty shoot-out win over Plymouth.

James Dunne was the Grecians' hero as he blasted home the winning kick after Argyle had missed all three of theirs. Exeter goalkeeper Lenny Pidgeley saved two with the other hitting the inside of the post. "It was all about the result and I am happy to go through. A win is a win, there are no in-betweens," Tisdale said. "I am pleased we built off the back of Saturday's win over Chesterfield, which is important for us. We certainly needed it and we are all the better for two wins. "The game was made all the more difficult because of a very vigorous and very energetic opponent. I thought they disrupted the pattern of our performance and we didn't adapt too well to the flow of the game, but we did enough. "They scored a terrific goal and I am very pleased with the positivity we showed in the shoot-out."
