Spireites twice let it slip

Bottom club Yeovil twice fought back to earn a 2-2 draw against fellow strugglers Chesterfield at B2net Stadium.

Jordan Bowery scored his first goals of the season to twice put Chesterfield ahead, but Yeovil levelled through Gavin Massey and Mark Allott's own goal. Chesterfield had lost their last three home games, but they were in front after four minutes when Bowery pounced after a header from Craig Westcarr had been blocked. Bowery was denied a second in the 22nd minute by a good save from Marek Stech, who also clawed out Neal Trotman's header, but the visitors equalised through a rare attack in the 29th minute when Edward Upson split the defence to put Massey in for his third goal. Yeovil started the second half well, but were caught by a long ball in the 55th minute and Bowery lobbed the on-rushing Stech from outside the area to restore Chesterfield's lead. Stech touched Simon Ford's header on to the crossbar in the 64th minute and Yeovil hit back again when a cleverly-worked free-kick ended with Allott turning the ball in at the near post.
